Dr. Madhu Mathur, M.D., M.P.H.
Director of the Goldstein Childrens Health Center
A tireless advocate for children's health, Dr. Mathur is the founding member of Stamford Hospital's Childhood Obesity Task Force and has been the driving force behind the KIDS' FANS program.
In addition to her responsibilities as the Director of the Children's Health Center and KIDS' FANS, Dr. Mathur also holds the following positions:
- Medical Director, Regional Medical Home Initiative, Southwest CT, since 2005
- Chairperson, Quality Indicators Committee, Medical Home Advisory Council, CT, since 2007
- Chairperson, Health and Wellness Committee, Childhood Blueprint Initiative, CT since 2008
- Chairperson, Health and Wellness Committee, Stamford Public Schools, since 2006
Current Research
Dr. Mathur is currently participating in a research study, with Stamford Hospital and Columbia University colleagues, to determine how childhood obesity effects the receptors that regulate hypertension.
